Hands-On Java and XML

Overview

A practical course on the fundamentals of programming with the Java language and XML data. This course starts with the basics of XML data parsing and validation and goes on to cover quering XML data with XPath; XML transformation using XSLT and XML data binding.

The course concentrates on common programming interfaces rather than proprietary ones to ensure that the knowledge gained can be applied to as many different tool sets as possible.

Pre-requisites

The course assumes that attendees are familiar with the Java programming language. Practical exercises are presented for both novice programmers and for more advanced Java coders.
